I've just found this web page after a long call with my friend Henry Klock of MI. I'm on the rosters of Radomes and 3 Yahoo groups, so I guess by joining this site I'll meet more vets and learn more about Othello. I was a radar op in the 1961 to 62 timeframe. I've missed several of your reunions because, I act as treasurer of the 623rd ACW out of Okinawa and attending 2 reunions at the same time is rough to accomplish. My first impression of the site was "OMGIF", I only stayed in 4 years with Othello as my first stop, Miyako Jima with the 623rd off Okinawa, and finishing up at Monkey Mountain outside of DaNang Viet Nam with a side trip to Dong Ha.

The 623rd is planning a reunion for Biloxi in the fall of 2010 (post hurricane season); the 623rd just had a reunion in Colorado Springs its a good location,at the Peterson AFB museum, there's good display of radar, more that Wright Patterson, along with an open very complete EC-121 you can walk through.

Enough for now

My Name is Jim Huddleston...my intent was to send out a "hey" all of you guys from a former member at 636th AC&W Squadron in Condon, Oregon. I was there from July 1957 to August 1960. From your photos...it looks very close to our base in Condon. We were located 7 miles west of town and the Elv was approx 3100'; 100 miles from The Dalles, Or 110 Miles from Pendleton, Or., In the middle of the wheat fields. Mt. Hood was about 150 miles NW of our location. Good wishes to all... formerly A/1C Jim Huddleston. 10.11.2010
